About This Scholarship

The Benazir Undergraduate Scholarship Project (formerly known as Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship) is the largest and most comprehensive need-based higher education initiative in Pakistan's history. Aimed at students from families earning less than PKR 45,000 per month, it covers 100% of the tuition fee and provides a PKR 4,000 monthly living stipend (PKR 48,000 annually). This colossal project guarantees that tens of thousands of deserving students studying in 135+ public sector universities can complete 4-to-5 year degree programs without financial dread.

Scholarship Benefits & Coverage

• 100% full tuition fee coverage paid directly to the admitting public sector university for the entire degree duration
• PKR 4,000/month living stipend (PKR 48,000 per annum) deposited directly into the student's bank account to cover books and living costs
• Comprehensive 4-to-5-year financial sponsorship for BS, MBBS, BDS, Engineering, Agriculture, and Computing degree tracks

Eligibility Criteria

  Admission: Must be enrolled in a **Public Sector University** on **Merit** basis (Afternoon/Evening sessions are eligible only if fee structure is same as Morning; Self-Finance is ineligible).

  Income Limit: Total family income must be less than **PKR 45,000 per month**.

  Program: Only for 4-5 year Undergraduate degree programs (Not for 2-year Associate Degrees or MA/MSc).

  Quotas: 50% scholarships reserved for Female students. 2% for Students with Disabilities.

  Exclusion: Students availing any other scholarship (PEEF, HEC Need Based, etc.) are NOT eligible.

How to Apply – Step by Step

   Step 1: Visit the Online Portal (ehsaas.hec.gov.pk or benazir.hec.gov.pk).

   Step 2: Create an account and fill the comprehensive profile (Personal, Family, Financial).

   Step 3: Submit the online application.

   Step 4: Print the completed application form.

   Step 5: Attach hard copies of supporting documents (Income Certificates, Utility Bills, CNIC, Photos) and submit them to your University's Financial Aid Office (FAO).

   Step 6: The University Scholarship Award Committee (ISAC) interviews shortlisted candidates to verify financial need.
