About This Scholarship
The Fazaia Educational Welfare Merit Scheme (FEWMS) is an elite academic reward program specifically designed for the children of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) personnel. It honors students who achieve outstanding positions in their board or university examinations. Rather than focusing on financial need, this is a pure merit-based cash award that recognizes the brilliant academic achievements of PAF wards, encouraging them to maintain high standards of excellence.
Scholarship Benefits & Coverage
- Annual higher education merit grant of up to PKR 80,000 (or 75% tuition coverage) for Category 'A' HEC universities
- Annual merit grant of PKR 40,000 per year for students enrolled in approved Category 'B' institutions

- Interest-free Qarz-e-Hasna facility up to PKR 400,000 to assist with professional degree expenses

Eligibility Criteria
- 1Beneficiary Status: Must be a child of Serving, Retired, or Deceased PAF Personnel (Officers, Airmen, or Civilians paid out of Defence Estimates).
- 2Academic Merit (Bachelors): Minimum **70% Marks** (or 2.88/4.0 CGPA) in HSSC/Intermediate.
- 3Academic Merit (Masters): Minimum **65% Marks** (or 2.69/4.0 CGPA) in Bachelors.
- 4Institution: For Merit Scholarships, students must be enrolled in HEC-recognized universities (Category A/B as per AHQ list).
- 5Special Quota: Special provisions for Shuhada children and disabled/special children of PAF personnel (often non-merit based support).
How to Apply – Step by Step

Step 1: Wait for the IG (Instruction General) or Advertisement released by AHQ Directorate of Education in Sept/Oct.

Step 2: Obtain the 'FEWMS Application Form' from your Unit Education Officer (for serving) or nearest PAF Base/DASB (for retired).

Step 3: Fill the form and attach attested copies of: F-Form/Discharge Book, Result Cards, and University Admission Letter.
