About This Scholarship

The Fazaia Educational Welfare Scheme (FEWS) is a comprehensive financial aid program dedicated to the children of serving, retired, and deceased personnel of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF). Unlike FEWMS, this scheme focuses on easing the financial burden of education for PAF families. It provides regular stipends to cover tuition fees and educational expenses from school level all the way to university degrees, ensuring that PAF wards receive uninterrupted, quality education.

Scholarship Benefits & Coverage

• Up to PKR 40,000 per year merit grant for undergraduate Bachelor's degree students in HEC-recognized institutions
• Up to PKR 80,000 per year merit funding for postgraduate Master's students enrolled in Category-A universities
• Annual school and college stipends of PKR 12,000 to PKR 17,000 for Intermediate, DAE, and secondary school levels
• Interest-free Qarz-e-Hasna educational loan up to PKR 400,000 repayable in flexible installments post-employment
• Special disability and welfare allowances for children of deceased, medically boarded out, or disabled PAF personnel

Eligibility Criteria

  Beneficiary Status: Must be a son/daughter of Serving, Retired, or Deceased PAF Personnel (Officers, Airmen, or PAF Civilians).

  Academic Merit (Bachelor's): Minimum 70% marks (or 2.88/4.00 CGPA) in HSSC/Intermediate.

  Academic Merit (Master's): Minimum 65% marks (or 2.69/4.00 CGPA) in Bachelor's.

  Institution: Must be enrolled in an HEC-recognized university (Category A or B).

  Age Limit: Maximum 25 years for Scholarship eligibility.

  Exclusion: Students receiving other major scholarships (like HEC Need-Based) may be ineligible for the full grant.

How to Apply – Step by Step

   Step 1: Access the FEWS portal (www.fews.pk) - often accessible only via PAF Intranet or through Unit Education Officers.

   Step 2: Fill the online application form and print it.

   Step 3: Attach attested copies of FRC (Family Registration Certificate), Father's Discharge Book/Service Card, and Student's Transcripts.

   Step 4: Get the form countersigned by the OC (Officer Commanding) or Head of the Department.

   Step 5: Submit the hard copy to: 'Directorate of Education (FEWS Section), Air Headquarters, Peshawar'.
