Scholarship Benefits & Coverage

Eligibility Criteria

  Domicile: Must possess a valid Domicile/Local Certificate of Gilgit-Baltistan.

  Education: Must have completed Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC)/Equivalent (Result awaited students are NOT eligible).

  Age Limit: Maximum 22 years on the closing date.

  Admission: Must secure admission on merit in any HEC recognized Public Sector University/Institution.

  Exclusion: Students availing any other scholarship or those who have already completed a BS degree are ineligible.

How to Apply – Step by Step

   Register on the HEC Online Portal (eportal.hec.gov.pk).

   Select 'Undergraduate Scholarship Program for the students of Gilgit-Baltistan'.

   Complete the online profile and generate the fee challan.

   Pay the application fee (PKR 500) via 1Link/1Bill Invoice.

   Submit the application online. (Save the printed copy).

   Prepare for the HEC Aptitude Test (HAT) conducted by ETC (Weightage: 50% Test, 50% HSSC/SSC).
