About This Scholarship

The KPEF Merit-cum-Inaffordability Scholarship is the flagship financial aid program of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Foundation. It provides crucial tuition fee support to talented students of KP who are facing severe financial hardships. The scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in recognized public sector universities and colleges across the province. By ensuring that economic struggles do not lead to university dropouts, KPEF empowers the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to successfully complete their higher education.

Scholarship Benefits & Coverage

• 100% full tuition fee coverage funded jointly via an 80% KPEF provincial grant and a 20% partner university institutional waiver
• Continuous multi-year fee payment disbursed directly to the educational institution for the entire degree duration
• Equitable funding distribution ensuring balanced 50/50 seat allocations between male and female students
• Targeted institutional prioritization for orphans, children of Shuhada, persons with disabilities, and transgender students

Eligibility Criteria

• 1
  Domicile: Must be a permanent resident of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or Newly Merged Districts (FATA).

  Enrollment: Must be enrolled in the **1st Year** (Fall 2024 or Spring 2025) of BS or MS program.

  Institution: Must be studying in one of the 'KPEF Partner Universities/Colleges' (Public & Private).

  Academic Merit: Minimum 70% marks in the last degree OR 3.00/4.00 CGPA.

  Income Limit: Parental monthly income must be ≤ PKR 160,000 (Significantly higher limit for 2025-26).

  Priority Groups: Special preference for Orphans, Children of Shuhada, Minorities, Transgenders, and Persons with Disabilities.

  Exclusion: Students availing other scholarships (Ehsaas, HEC, PEEF, etc.) are ineligible.

How to Apply – Step by Step

   Step 1: Create an account on the KPEF Scholarship Portal (ef.kp.gov.pk).

   Step 2: Complete the online profile (Personal, Academic, and Financial details).

   Step 3: Upload scanned copies of CNIC, Domicile, Transcript, and Income Certificate.

   Step 4: Submit the application online (No hard copy required at initial stage).

   Step 5: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview by the 'Institutional Scholarship Award Committee (ISAC)' at their university.
