About This Scholarship

The Ministry of Religious Affairs (MORA) Minorities' Welfare Fund Scholarship is a federal initiative specifically designed to support non-Muslim students in Pakistan. Ranging from primary school up to university level, this scholarship provides an annual educational stipend to brilliant and deserving students belonging to Hindu, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, and other minority communities. It represents the government's commitment to ensuring equal educational opportunities and interfaith harmony across the nation.

Scholarship Benefits & Coverage

• PKR 60,000/year annual grant for professional degree scholars (MBBS, BDS, DVM, and Engineering) to cover semester dues and medical kits
• PKR 24,000/year annual stipend for undergraduate and degree-level (BA/BSc/BS) students to support college fees and study resources
• PKR 16,800/year educational stipend for Intermediate and DAE students to offset laboratory and textbook costs
• PKR 4,800/year to PKR 7,200/year foundational financial support for Primary and Secondary (Matric) school students
• Direct bank account disbursement ensuring safe, transparent electronic funds transfers directly to the student or minor account

Eligibility Criteria

  Religion: Must belong to a recognized Minority community (Christian, Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi, Kalash, etc.).

  Institution: Must be a regular student of a **Government / Public Sector** Educational Institution.

  Academic Merit: Minimum 50% marks in the last annual examination.

  Financial Need: Parent/Guardian's monthly income must not exceed PKR 80,000 (Limit raised from 64k).

  Bank Account: Applicant must have a valid bank account (Minor account for <18 allowed).

  Exclusion: Students of Private Institutions or those receiving other scholarships (PEEF, HEC, etc.) are NOT eligible.

How to Apply – Step by Step

   Step 1: Visit the official MORA website (www.mora.gov.pk) when the advertisement is released (usually Sept).

   Step 2: Complete the **Online Application Form** (Mandatory first step).

   Step 3: Print the computer-generated application form.

   Step 4: Get the form attested by the Head of your Institution (Principal/VC).

   Step 5: Attach attested copies of Mark Sheets, CNIC/B-Form, and Father's Income Certificate.

   Step 6: Send the hard copy to: 'Section Officer (Minorities Welfare), Ministry of Religious Affairs, Green Trust Tower, Blue Area, Islamabad' within 5 days of online submission.
