The Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) Individual Financial Assistance is a critical, government-run emergency educational safety net. Unlike regular scholarships with fixed deadlines, PBM provides direct financial interventions for desperate students studying in government institutions who face imminent dropout due to poverty. Students can submit a physical application with a bona fide certificate from their principal/VC. PBM directly issues a cheque in the name of the institution to clear the student's pending tuition fees for that specific academic year.

• Daanish & Akhuwat Quotas: 100% complete waiver of admission, hostel, exam, and laboratory fees for eligible graduates

Eligibility Criteria

  Financial Status: Must be **Zakat Deserving** (Mustahaq-e-Zakat).

  Parental Status: Father/Guardian must NOT be a serving Government Employee (Retired Govt employees are eligible).

  Academic Merit: No specific percentage, but must not be failed in any subject in the previous semester.

  Institution: Must be enrolled in a Government/Public Sector University.

  Exclusion: Students receiving Ehsaas, PEEF, or HEC scholarships are ineligible.

How to Apply – Step by Step

   Step 1: Download the 'PBM Individual Financial Assistance (IFA) Form' from `pbm.gov.pk`.

   Step 2: Fill the form and attach: Bonafide Certificate (signed by University), Valid Fee Challan (Unpaid), Academic Transcripts, and CNIC.

   Step 3: Submit the file to the **District Office** of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal in your home district.

   Step 4: A PBM inquiry officer may visit your home or call for verification of Zakat eligibility.

   Step 5: Cheque is issued in the name of the University.
