About This Scholarship

The Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) Grants, including the Science Talent Farming Scheme (STFS) and direct research grants, are the backbone of science funding in Pakistan. The STFS identifies brilliant matriculate students who have a passion for pure sciences and provides them with a monthly stipend, laptops, and study visits to top scientific organizations throughout their FA/FSc. For university scholars, PSF offers massive research grants to fund R&D projects that address national scientific challenges.

Scholarship Benefits & Coverage

• PKR 25,000/year annual stipend for public/government university students (up to PKR 65,000/year for recognized private institutions) across 4 to 5-year professional degrees
• PKR 50,000 one-time Excellence Cash Award for exceptional scholars securing 1st position across board or university examinations
• Direct IBAN bank transfer disbursements ensuring reliable, prompt funding deposited directly to the student's or guardian's account
• Multi-year degree support renewed upon maintaining at least 60% marks (or 2.5/4.0 CGPA) during intervening semesters

  A. STFS Eligibility (Students):

  - Must have passed Matric (SSC) Science in 2025 with min 60% overall marks and 70% in Science subjects.

  - Must be studying in a Government School (Private students are often excluded).

  - Must pass the PSF Science Aptitude Test (conducted by NTS/CTS).

  B. CRP Eligibility (Researchers):

  - Must be a Faculty Member or Researcher in a Public/HEC-recognized University.

  - OR be an 'Individual Innovator' with a viable tech product idea.

  - Project must focus on applied science (Natural, Physical, or Engineering).

How to Apply – Step by Step

   For STFS (Students):

   Step 1: Wait for the STFS advertisement in newspapers (Jan/Feb).

   Step 2: Download the Application Form & Fee Slip from the testing agency website (e.g., NTS or CTS).

   Step 3: Pay the test fee (approx. PKR 500) and send the form to the testing agency.

   Step 4: Appear for the Science Aptitude Test and IQ Test.

   For CRP (Researchers):

   Step 1: Submit a 'Concept Paper' via the PSF Online Portal (psf.gov.pk).

   Step 2: If the concept is approved, submit the 'Full Project Proposal'.
