About This Scholarship

The Fulbright Student Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government. Administered by USEFP in Pakistan, it is the largest Fulbright program in the world. It provides 100% fully funded opportunities for Pakistani students, professionals, and artists to pursue Master's or PhD degrees at top US universities. Eligibility Criteria

    Nationality: Pakistani Citizen residing in Pakistan at the time of application.

    Academic Req (Master's): 16 Years of education (4-year Bachelor's or Bachelor's + Master's) from an accredited university.

    Academic Req (PhD): 18 Years of education (MS/MPhil) from an accredited university.

    Test Requirement: **GRE General** is MANDATORY at the time of application (Min score 138 V / 136 Q, but 300+ recommended for good placement).

    Work Experience: Not required for general fields; 2 years required for MBA/Public Policy.

    Exclusion: Dual US/Pak nationals or those who have lived in the US for 5+ years are ineligible.

How to Apply – Step by Step

    Step 1: Register for the GRE General Test (ETS.org) and take it before May. (Score report is required to submit).

    Step 2: Create an account on the USEFP Online Application Portal (when it opens in Feb).

    Step 3: Upload transcripts, 3 Letters of Reference (Academic/Professional), and GRE Score Report.

    Step 4: Write Personal Statement and Study Objectives (Critical for selection).

    Step 5: Submit online. (No hard copies required at this stage).

    Step 6: Shortlisted candidates are interviewed in Islamabad (Sept/Oct).

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the GRE mandatory for Fulbright?

Yes, a valid GRE (General) score is strictly required at the time of application submission. There are no exceptions.

Can I apply for an MBA or Medical degree?

Clinical medicine is not supported. However, MBA, Public Health, Engineering, Arts, and Social Sciences are fully supported and highly encouraged.
