About This Scholarship

The Wells Mountain Initiative (WMI) Scholars Program is a highly unique, deeply philanthropic need-based scholarship. It specifically targets exceptionally bright students from developing nations (including Pakistan) who are pursuing their first Bachelor's degree or diploma locally in their home country. Ranging from $300 to $3000 annually, the grant covers tuition, books, and living expenses for students committed to community service. Eligibility Criteria

  Nationality: Citizen of a developing country (Pakistan is eligible).

  Location: Must be studying in your home country or another developing country. (Not for study in US/UK/Europe).

  Age Limit: Must be 35 years or under as of August 1, 2026.

  Education: Must have completed secondary education with excellent grades.

  Enrollment: Must be planning to enroll or already enrolled in a first bachelor's degree.

  Field of Study: Priority given to community-oriented fields: Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, Education, Social Work, Engineering, Agriculture.

  Volunteerism: MUST demonstrate a strong history of community service (100 hours per year required).

  Financial Need: Must prove that you have *some* funds but not enough to cover the full degree.

How to Apply – Step by Step

   Step 1: Create an account on the WMI Online Application Portal (portal opens Dec 1).

   Step 2: Complete the application form (Personal Information, Financial Information).

   Step 3: Write the 'Personal Statement' (Legacy/Background) and the 'Essay Question'.

   Step 4: Upload Transcripts and two Recommendation Letters.

   Step 5: Submit online by March 1. (Mailed applications are accepted but discouraged due to delays).
